El Reno, OK - The Payne County Democratic Party is proud to announce that three members have been elected to officer roles for Congressional District 3. This dedicated group of Payne County residents will not only help advance the entirety of the district, but also ensure that Payne County's voice continues to be actively heard at a wide-ranging level.

Avery McIntyre has been elected to the role of Vice Chair for Congressional District 3. Avery has held an extensive range of officer positions ranging from the College Democrats of Oklahoma State University to the Oklahoma Intercollegiate Legislature and beyond.

Carter Lowry has been elected to the role of Affirmative Action Officer. Currently serving as the Vice President of the College Democrats of Oklahoma State University, Lowry is new to the political scene and is quickly rising through the ranks at a university and state level.

Emmerson Cave has also been elected to the role of Affirmative Action Officer. A former Texas native, Cave has also been moving up through the ranks of democratic politics at a collegiate and county level in the place she now calls home - Oklahoma.

"The election of these three incredibly talented up-and-coming political shakers marks a victory for both Payne County and the State of Oklahoma," said Payne County Democratic Party Vice Chair Sam Cypert-Worley. "The continued rise of interest in democratic politics, especially among younger voters, in a deep-red state is vital at a time when the Republican supermajority have managed to drop us to almost dead last in nearly every measurable statistic there is. The state of Oklahoma needs new, visionary leadership willing to take our party and our state to new horizons as we move forward into a more interconnected and global society."
